Nandini Trivedi is a well-known author & journalist, associated with Gujarati newspapers and magazines. She was a features editor in Mumbai Samachar for 20 years. She was also the editor of ‘Mari Saheli’, The Gujarati edition of the popular women’s magazine Meri Saheli, for 3 years.
Nandini has written various books. Among them, three books on Music. ‘Miley Sur’ book is based on classical music/Raag based film songs which have four editions, while Geet Gurjari and Gaurav Gurjari books, based on the history of Gujarati Sugam sangeet, have also received a lot of admiration.
She has translated a few books and is currently working as a freelance writer for many publications. She is a Music researcher as well as organizes Musical shows. She has completed Upantya Visharad in classical music and got a chance to learn music from Padma Bhushan Dr. Prabha Atre for some time.
Nandini has been invited for a number of radio talks on varied subjects by All India Radio, BBC Radio, and Sydney Broadcasting Service. She has done anchoring in various shows, and in a couple of documentary films. She has been awarded for her contribution in Journalism and also for conceiving a unique musical play परछाईयां based on legendary lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. She has her own YouTube channel ‘SwarGurjari’ which hosts series of interviews of celebrities from the Gujarati music fraternity. She arranges programs also on her youtube channel ‘SwarGurjari’.
