Amruta started her classical vocal lessons at the very tender age of 3. Since then she has never looked back. She did her graduation in Arts with Music as a major subject. She also achieved a reputed bachelor's degree in ‘Sangeet Visharad’ in classical vocals from ‘Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya’. She started taking advanced lessons in classical vocals from her guru ‘Shree Nishad Bakre’.

Amruta’s versatility comes to light when she sings a ghazal, a romantic Bollywood number, or even a Meera bhajan equally well, keeping in mind the requirements of correct pronunciations, expressions, modulations, and other technical qualities required for commercial music performer.
