Raina has been learning Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet for 19 years and is still continuing. Awarded by musical maestro Naushad Sahab at the age of 15 years. Her trump card is her versatility and high range which is an all-time requirement of the industry. Raina gave a playback with Kumar Sanu for the movie Mridang 2017.

Raina Lahiri was amongst the top 8 finalists of Indian Idol season 4. She has been also part of various other music-based shows for Sab TV, Star Plus, Sony TV, ETV Urdu, and Doordarshan. She has performed live with Music composer Pyarelal Jee (Laxmikant-Pyarelal), Playback Singers like Javed Ali, Sudesh Bhosle, Vinod Rathod, Talat Aziz, and Anuradha Paudwal. 1000 Plus shows in India as well as abroad, and coun is still on.
