KK Left Us With What He Enjoyed The Most

Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK, is An Indian playback singer, a musician whose songs robbed the hearts of many. He breathed last at the age of 53 in Kolkata on the night of 31st May.
After his performance at a fest at Nazrul Manch, a venue at Vivekananda College, KK collapsed during his stay in the hotel in Kolkata. Endeavors to bring him back were ineffective, and he was eventually taken to the hospital. He suffered from cardiac arrest on his way and on arrival; the doctors declared that KK was no more.
A personality born in Delhi who never had any formal vocal training. He studied Business at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College and created history with his songs “Pal” and “yaaron” from his first released album – Pal. Kunnath was not quite the same as others. He believed that a singer’s face is not significant as his voice is. He said, “An artist must be heard.”
KK started his music career in the year 1994 by singing Advertisement jingles. He debuted in Bollywood in the year 1999 with the song “Tadap tadap Ke Is Dil Se” from the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. He believed this song to be the turning point of his life. In four years he sang more than 3500 jingles, in over eleven languages. “Dola Re Dola” from Devdas, “Aankhon Me Teri” from Om Shanti Om, “India waale” from Happy New year, “Tu Jo Mila” from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, “Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai” from Woh Lamha and many mo. These are the songs hearts of Indians and will always remain.
KK’s second album “Hamsafar” was released in 2008. His songs “Dekho Na“, “Aasman Ke“, “Rain Bhai Kaari” and “Yeh Kahan mil Gaye hum” are well-known songs from this album. KK, a versatile singer has not only sung for films but has also sung for many television serials. Some of the popular ones are Shaka Laka boom boom, Hip hop hurray, and many more.
He was one of the most cherished voices. Regardless of being a well-known versatile playback singer, and composer, Krishnakumar Kunnath got himself far from the glitz and glamour. He left with what he enjoyed the most.
